A Field Visit to BANGALORE STOCK EXCHANGE BUILDING (BSEg)
A Field Visit to BANGALORE STOCK EXCHANGE BUILDING (BSEg) :
The students of the Second semester M.Tech Structural Engineering students of Civil Engineering Department had a field visit on 15th and 16th April 2017. A total of 18 students from the M.Tech course, accompanied with the Prof K Arjun, visited BANGALORE STOCK EXCHANGE BUILDING (BSEg) located at JC road in Bangalore .
The main scope of this work was to analyze the life span of the building. As the building was constructed in late 1980’s the building had under gone sever changes in the usage due to unexpected occupancy of different range of clients. More loading than the expected load with which it is designed for is coming on the structure in the form of chillers and other dead loads like change in the infra structure inside the facilities. As the building is going to be under accusation the life span of the building is a most required criteria for the bid of the building in the present market. So this can be done by using the NON-DESTRUCTIVE TEST without any damage to the structure and the life span of the building can be analyzed.
