Department of Civil Engineering has got Rs.1,00,000/- grant from SCIENCE & ENGINEERING RESEARCH BOARD (SERB) for Seminar Symposia under the titled "Sustainable Advanced Wastewater treatment Technologies” by Prof B T Shivendra and Mr. Vinay A Department of Civil Engineering has got Rs.19,95,686/- grant in aid from Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited for Research and Development on "Synthesis of Kudremukh Iron Ore Mine Tailings based Geopolymer Aggregate using Fly Ash as Precursor in Construction Industry" by Dr. H K Ramaraju and Mr. Abhinandan

Civil Engineering is a broad field of engineering which involves planning Design, construction maintenance and management of structures or public works.Civil Engineering deals with construction and maintenance of buildings, bridges, roads, railways, structures, water supply & sewer, Irrigation, power & environment. Alternate Building materials, Green buildings, structural health monitoring, safety and fire practices are the recent developments and the most sought after topics in branch. Civil Engineering Department of DSCE aims at developing analytical and experimental skills in students to apply in various fields of Civil Engineering.

The field trip was organized for the benefit of 185 Second year Civil Engineering Students i.e., 3rd semester A, B and C section students.
