HPVC Overview
ASME's international Human Powered Vehicle Challenge (HPVC) provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate the application of sound engineering design principles in the development of sustainable and practical transportation alternatives. In the HPVC, students work in teams to design and build efficient, highly engineered vehicles for everyday use—from commuting to work, to carrying goods to market.

SUPRA SAEINDIA is a National level competition on the design, manufacturing and testing of formula-style race car which sees the participation of 100+ team every year from India’s top Engineering Colleges like IIT’s, NIT’s.

SAE REEV (Range Extended Electric Vehicle) BOOT CAMP
Faculty and students attended “Energy Calculation and DFMEA” programme on 30-11-2018 at GM Technical Centre, Bangalore organized by General Motors.
SAE REEV Boot camp was held on 27-07-2018 in the department for the benefit of SAE members. Mr.Chandrashekar Prasad and Paul Thomas of General Motors and Mr.Rakesh of SAE Bangalore Section addressed the students of team DSCE SAEREEV.
SAE TVS EGA EVENT:
Our Student team “NEBULA”participated in the SAE TVS EGA Competition in June-2018. The progress being reviewed by Principal and Vice Principal
Team “NEBULA” participated in TVS EGA competition on 15th and 16th June 2018 at TVS IQL and awarded Runners up with a trophy and Cash prize of Rs.15,000/- and the same is published in “SAMYUKTHA KARNATAKA” on 29-06-2018.
SAE – TVS EGA (Electrifying Green Aspirations) Competetion
TVS has donated new TVS Jupiter Vehicle to the team “NEBULA” of our department to be modified as a Hybrid Electric Vehicle to compete in SAE TVS EGA to be held in April 2018.

Our students participated in SAEINDIA EFFICYCLE 2017 at Lovely Professional University, Punjab held between 1.11.2017 to 5.11.2017.
INAUGURATION OF SAEINDIA DSCE COLLEGIATE CLUB:

The inauguration of SAEINDIA DSCE COLLEGIATE CLUB was held on 5th October 2016 in DSCE AV Auditorium at 10 AM with an invocation song by Prof. Kiran Kumar followed with the welcome address by Dr. Sekhar N. Mr. KP Murthy, Vice-Chairman SAEINDIA Bangalore Section, Mr. Purushotham Joshi, Business Development Manager, SAEINDIA Bangalore Section, Mr. Ravi Goka, VP R&D-TVS and Mr. Kannan the VP-TVS were the guests of honors for the formal inaugural function. Dr. H Ramakrishna Vice-principal, Dr. A. Arokkiaswamy, Prof and Head, Dept. of Aeronautical Engineering, Dr. Keshavamurthy R, Prof and Head, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering presided over the function. The dignitaries inaugurated the club by lighting the lamp.
1. Students of DSCE participated in student formula event organized by SAEINDIA at Buddh International Circuit at Greater Noida held during 15-06-19 to 20-06-2019. The team would comprise of students from Automobile, Mechanical, Aeronautical and Electrical Engineering.
